Kirk joined Alaska's News Source in March 2025. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Kirk graduated from the Dan Patrick School of Sportscasting at Full Sail University.
As an online student, Kirk was a sports beat reporter for Tacoma Community College and was assigned to do pre/post game reports, interview athletes, and create social media content. He also had many connections with college athletes across the Tacoma and Lakewood area, where he covered a variety of sporting events.
During his free time, Kirk enjoys watching NFL and WWE. He is also a big-time Seattle Mariners fan and watches all of their games.
