ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Missing since March 6, those close to the missing man, 40-year-old Tony Mac Kronos, are focused on alerting the community.

Formerly named Joshua Kronbach, Kronos is officially considered a missing person on March 13 according to Anchorage Police Department.

Neighbors and family members who previously spoke with Alaska’s News Source said they took note of the lack of activity at Kronos’ home in early March and ultimately reported him missing. Kronos’ sister, Jordan Stamnes, said her parents found his back door kicked in when they checked on his home. They also found his wallet still in the house.

‘I hope he’s not in danger’: Eagle River man missing for weeks

On Saturday a group of people close to Kronos gathered in Eagle River Town Square Park, planning how they’d circulate the missing person flyer of Kronos.

Deedee Barnes said she’s been friends with Kronos since she was twelve.

“I’ve known him over half my life,” Barnes said as the crowd volunteering to post flyers arrived. “I just want him to come home. So today I’m hoping for some answers. I’m hoping to see friends and family that have the same concerns, and we just want him to come home.”

Catlin Mobley, one of several friends of Kronos in the crowd, said they’re working on spreading awareness; “Our plan for today is to create community awareness to show the community that we’re standing together.“ According to Mobley, they’ll host a fundraising event and auction in the coming week - they’re saving to offer a reward for more information, search and rescue efforts, and funeral costs.

Everybody wants Josh to come home," Mobley said. “We love him. He has been a pillar in the community. He is a great man. He’s an awesome friend, he’s a hell of a homeboy, he’s a hell of a son.”

At the end of the Saturday gathering, groups left with stacks of flyers to post, prompted by Mobley to “talk to everybody.”
