Mobile home catches fire in East Anchorage

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A mobile home fire led to a smoky Friday morning for the Malaspina Trailer Park in East Anchorage.
According to the Anchorage Fire Department, 13 fire units responded to the residential fire on the 1500 block of Hoyt Street.
Crews worked quickly to contain the blaze and there are no reports of injuries.
“We were able to quickly respond and we had fire in the overhead,” AFD Fire Engineer Matt Fellman said at the scene. “We were able to quickly search the building and do a quick knock down.”
Fire Chief Alex Boyd said the cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.
