ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - This year’s edition of the U.S. Cross Country Ski Championships are slated to begin Thursday morning at Kincaid Park in Anchorage.

The 2025 series will open with a 10-kilometer freestyle race, continuing over the next week or so, with the 1.4K classic sprint slated for Saturday; a 20K classic race, scheduled for Sunday; and a 1.4K freestyle sprint on Tuesday.

“It’s always a big deal to bring this many racers into town, of course, this caliber of racing,” said Kikkan Randall, the executive director of the Nordic Skiing Association of Anchorage. “There’s a lot on the line, as these athletes are trying to make their respective teams, to go race in Europe later in the year.”

This is the first time the event has been hosted in Anchorage since 2018.
