Warmth wends its way across the state

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The anticipated warmth is moving into Alaska on Friday with Anchorage expected to see a high temperature near 40 degrees through the weekend. The Interior will also see a rise in temperatures with daytime highs warming to the mid to upper 30s through the weekend. That will be about 20 degrees above normal.

Southeast is expecting another day of rain, heavy in some locations. Petersburg is likely to see about 2.5 inches of rain by Sunday morning. A Winter Storm Warning is in place for the Klondike Highway until 2 p.m. Friday with heavy snow up to 8 inches expected.
