Weather stays consistent for the start of the week, warmer temps ahead
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - The weather pattern will remain fairly consistent through at least Thursday for most of the state. A broad area of low pressure in the Gulf of Alaska will bring another round of rain and rain/snow mix to the Panhandle and the North Gulf Coast. Another system will come through on Wednesday, bringing more rain to the Southeast.
A Blizzard Warning is in place for the Western Arctic Coast, including Point Hope, Point Lay and Cape Lisburne, until 3 p.m. Monday. This is due to blowing snow, which could create whiteout conditions.
Later in the week, several areas of low pressure will move through over the Aleutian Islands and the Alaska Peninsula and could bring a chance of rain or rain/snow mix to Southcentral.
