Extended power outage in Downtown Ketchikan

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Parts of Downtown Ketchikan will see an extended power outage Sunday night into early Monday morning. According to a community notification, the outage will be for the Downtown Core from Tunnel to Deermount/East 5/Lotus areas to make critical repairs inside the underground electric vault that serves downtown.
The power will be turned off at 11 tonight. According to the Ketchikan community notice, the outage on Deermount - East 5th and Lotus areas will be brief. The outage from Stedman to the Tunnel will be more extended.
The power is expected to be restored by 5 a.m. Monday.
