Small plane crash near Lake Hood leaves 1 injured

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A plane crash at Lake Hood sent one person to the hospital with injuries. According to Clint Johnson with the National Transportation Safety Board in Alaska, the incident happened between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The pilot was the only person on board when the Cub Crafters Super Cub crashed on departure. The Anchorage Fire Department said they responded at 2:38 p.m. and took one person to a local hospital with minor injuries.

According to the FAA Registry, the registered owner of the plane is the U.S. Department of the Interior.

The NTSB is investigating.
