Roadtrippin’ 2025: ‘Try me’ searching for dinner in Adak
ADAK, Alaska (KTUU) - With only about 50 people living on Adak year-round, you’re pretty limited in where you can eat. There are two restaurants and a little sundries shop with very, very limited hours.
Tundra Tavern is a bar that serves bar-type food: chicken tenders, pizzas, burgers, and fries. It opens at 6 p.m. and closes around 9. This place is probably your best, most consistent chance for dining out.
There’s also Adak Soul. Emmitt Raymond is the chef here, but he also works at the airport and is a mechanic.
Raymond’s a no-mess-around type of guy. We asked what to order.
“Try me,” he responded.
The waffle menu is pretty epic and creative.
At 100 Knot Stop, you can buy little snack-types of nonperishable type foods.
