UPDATE: Woman dead after rollover on Parks Highway
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A woman is now dead after a rollover accident on Mile 348 of the Parks Highway south of Ester, according to Alaska State Troopers. She was identified as Jennifer Loving.
The crash was reported to Alaska State Troopers Saturday at approximately 5:45 pm. Troopers say that alcohol is suspected to have played a part in the accident.
According to a Trooper dispatch, the vehicle with a man and Loving inside was speeding at around 100mph in a 60mph zone. The car was speeding into a work zone, causing workers to jump out of the way.
Tire marks led to a ditch with scattered debris from the vehicle. The vehicle was able to get back onto the road, where it appeared to have rolled over a few times, coming to a rest upside down next to the guardrail of the road.
Loving was seemingly ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The male has not been identified and at the time of publication is in the ICU and receiving treatment for his injuries.
