ADAK, Alaska (KTUU) - Once you’ve arrived in Adak, there are only a few rental options to spend the night.

We booked our three-bedroom, six-bed duplex through The Adak/Aleutian Experience.

“Our units are $175 a night, doesn’t matter how many people you have, they’re fully equipped,” Mark Chenney with Adak/Aleutian Experience said. “They have linen, towels, dishes, refrigerator, washer, dryer, TV. It’s got its own Starlink so you have phone communications and you can watch your programs on TV.”

You’ll most likely want to rent a car or truck. Adak/Aleutian Experience has you covered there as well.

“If you rent a truck or vehicle, it’s $175 a day,” Chenney said.

The duplexes are former military housing so if you grew up as an Army brat, get ready to go down memory lane (remember how most base housing was tan?).
