Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run off Brayton Drive
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - Anchorage police are looking for a driver who hit and killed a man early Friday morning off Brayton Drive.
Anchorage Police say that at 12:36 a.m., they responded to the area of Brayton Drive and Mockingbird Drive for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Anchorage Fire Department medics declared one adult man dead at the scene.
Police state that two pedestrians were walking south on or along Brayton Drive near Mockingbird Drive when a vehicle heading northbound on Brayton hit the victim.
The other pedestrian was uninjured.
Police are looking for the driver as they fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available, according to APD.
