FBI dive team searching Cheney Lake for weapon linked to 2024 case

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - FBI dive teams were seen searching Cheney Lake in Anchorage on Monday for evidence related to a 2024 case.
An Anchorage Police Department officer at the scene confirmed to Alaska’s News Source that divers are looking for a weapon, but did not offer what specific case it stemmed from.
The investigation is ongoing.
Parts of Cheney Lake remain blocked off from the public Monday afternoon.
APD estimates law enforcement to be present in the area for the next 2-4 days.
