Alaskan Olympic medalist Alev Kelter reflects on Paris Games, Rugby in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) - A month removed from claiming a historic bronze medal for Team USA at the Paris Olympic Games, Eagle River rugby player Alev Kelter is back home and soaking up the moment.
Kelter played a big role in helping the American women to their first Olympic medal in the sport of Rugby 7′s last month when the U.S. beat Australia in the bronze medal match.
Since then, the 33-year-old Chugiak High graduate has been on a high as she also proposed to her now fiancée and fellow Alaskan and rugby athlete Kathryn Treder in Paris.
Kelter joined Alaska’s News Source in studio Friday afternoon to discuss life since the Olympics and her engagement.
